OVERVIEW
Leadership and the essential behaviours of business leaders is a critical element of a successful business. Building a successful business begins with the right leadership to bring about development of good plans and effective execution of those plans. Taking risks, innovating and empowering teams, establishing a common purpose/shared vision, and adopting entrepreneurial initiatives are all part and parcel of the mindset change. Business is moving away from managing within functional silos or departments and moving towards cross-functional team management. The skills involved in cross-functional management are significantly different and requires new and changing mindsets.
SIMULATION OVERVIEW
Computer simulations allow participants to practice real-life decision-making in a risk-free environment. The Leading for Organizational Improvement simulation is a tool that generates discussion and underlines learning points regarding quality management and the change process. The process also creates a basis for action planning at the end of the training engagement.
In the simulation, participants become the president of Vendit, a $288 million manufacturing company. During three rounds, participants attempt to steer Vendit through a major change process. Leading for Organizational Improvement's simulation places special emphasis on leadership and team building skills.
